Abstract

This study aimed to explore the level at which self-evaluation standards are practiced in schools that implement School Development Program in the area of School Management in Almadinah Almunawwarah through the following five elements: Vision, Mission, Planning, Organization, Leadership and Administrative Skills and Capacity.
In order to achieve the research objectives, the researcher employed the descriptive approach. Having verified its validity and reliability, the questionnaire tool was applied to a random sample of (78) school administrators (male and female principals and vice-principals) during the first term of the 1437/1438AH academic year. Frequencies, percentages and arithmetic means were used to calculate the level at which self-evaluation standards are practiced. Also employed was the One-Way ANOVA test of variance and (t-test) to unearth the differences in responses of the sample that are attributable to the research variables.
Some of the most outstanding findings are as follows:
1. Self-evaluation standards are practiced at high level in schools that implement School Development Program in the area of School Management in Almadinah Almunawwarah.
2. The "School Vision" spearheaded the elements in which the practice of self-evaluation standards in schools that implement School Development Program in the area of School Management in Almadinah Almunawwarah was achieved, followed by the "School Mission", then "Planning", "Organization" and finally " Leadership and Administrative Skills and Capacity". The practice was at a high level in all the said elements.
