Guide for Authors

The editorial board adheres to the following publication instructions. Only papers following these instructions are considered for publication

Administrative instructions:

  1. IJCHES publishes papers in the aforementioned fields by researchers at Egyptian and Arab recognized universities, institutes, centers, and societies.
  2. Earlier received manuscripts are published first.
  3. Manuscripts with an electronic receipt of review fees are sent to the editor-in-chief via the e-mail submission@ijches.com.
  4. All manuscripts have been checked for plagiarism by "iThenticate".
  5. The contents of manuscripts are the sole responsibility of the authors and do not necessarily express the opinion of the editorial board or reviewers.
  6. The journal chooses two reviewers and a third reviewer, if necessary, of specialized professors to review the validity and suitability of the manuscript for publication according to the review form.
  7. The journal publishes the papers of professors (20 pages maximum) for free.
  8. The journal publishes the abstracts of theses and dissertations awarded by Egyptian and Arab and foreign universities.
  9. A publication of the journal should not be republished somewhere else but after written consent from the editorial board.
  10. The author(s) should sign a commitment that the manuscript has not been published or submitted for publication or not a chapter of a published book until the end of the review process.

Manuscript preparation instructions:

  1. The manuscript should be free of typos, spelling mistakes, and grammatical mistakes and adhere to the rules of scientific publication. Arabic manuscripts are written in Simplified Arabic, Bold (13), with titles in Al-Mateen and Bold (16), (2 cm left and right) (2.54 cm up and 21*29.5 down custom size) margins, and single line space. The tables and figures should be accurate, clear, and concise.
  2. English manuscripts are written in Times New Roman, Bold (13), with titles in Bold (14), (3.25 cm left and right) (3.5 cm up and down) margins, and single line space. The tables and figures should be accurate, clear, and concise.
  3. The material for publication in the Journal should belong largely to one of the following categories:
    a) Reports of research studies, review of researches, educational studies in different cultural settings, reports of surveys and research abstracts of theses and dissertations;
    b) Analyses, critiques and reviews of educational policies, innovative practices, trends, developments and new technologies highlighting implications for practitioners and educators;
    c) Case studies and personal experiences of educators
    d) Reviews of books and educational documents;
    e) Educational news including forthcoming, national and international events in the field of education.
  1. Abstract: should not be more than 200 words. A paper in English should have an abstract in Arabic.
  2. Keywords: The number of keywords is up to the author. 
  1. Arabic numerals 1, 2, 3, …etc., are used throughout the manuscript, and pages are numbered in the middle in the bottom.
  2. References are written according to APA- Version 7.
  3. The abstract should not be more than 200 words. A paper in English should have an abstract in Arabic.
  4. The tables are inserted intext and sequentially numbered with titles above and explanatory notes below.
  5. The editorial board has the right to examine the paper initially and decides on its suitability for publication.
  6. In case of publishing, the author receives a copy of the journal and five reprints of the paper and pays the fees of express mail (EMS).
  7. Conflict of interest: All authors must disclose any financial and personal relationships with other people or organizations that could inappropriately influence (bias) their work. Examples of potential conflicts of interest include employment, consultancies, stock ownership, honoraria, paid expert testimony, patent applications/registrations, and grants or other funding.
  8. Copyright: Upon acceptance of an article, authors will be asked to complete. Permitted third party reuse of open access articles. 

Publication Fees:

  1. The review fees of a paper submitted for publication in the International Journal of Contemporary Humanities and Educational Science (IJCHES) are L.E. (500) (five hundred Egyptian pounds only) or equivalent in American dollars.
  2. The publication fees for researchers in Egypt:

* L.E. (600) (six hundred Egyptian pounds)/ (30) pages

*For each extra page, L.E. (25) (twenty-five Egyptian pounds)/ page

  1. The publication fees for foreigners or Egyptian researchers abroad:

* $ (150) (one hundred and fifty dollars) for publication; $ (5) (five dollars)/ page.

Open Access Policy

  1. This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge. The research papers are freely accessible and downloadable from the website.
  2. IJCHES provides free access to the research papers for readers.
  3. IJCHES does not ask for any advertisements from authors, organizations or publishers.

  1. For non-commercial purposes, lets others distribute and copy the article, and to include in a collective work (such as an anthology), as long as they credit the author(s) and provided they do not alter or modify the article and maintained and its original authors, citation details and publisher are identified.Plagiarism

IJCHES  is offering the Crossref Similarity Check (powered by iThenticate) software to the Editors to check an authored work against millions of other published scholarly articles, books, conference papers, dissertations, other academic content, and billions of web pages to ensure its originality. The web-based tool can be used in the editorial process to identify matching text, but it cannot, on its own, identify plagiarism. Manual examination of the matching text is still required, and judgment used to identify if plagiarism has occurred or not.

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  1. The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  2. The submission file is in Microsoft Word document file format.
  3. Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  4. The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  5. The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.
  6. If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.
